GamerzROM Legend Edition V4.0 is released for 3 devices!

We are back! Faster, greater, stronger!

This build is full with surprises. Please check system and alarm sounds carefully. :-)

You don't need wipes to upgrade your old GamerzROM. Just flash it without wipes. Than flash Google Apps package. If you are a new comer from another jb & ics rom, please full wipe and install. 

Note for Captivate users: Please flash a custom kernel yourself. We kept stock cm kernel on this version. We can't test your kernels since we don't have any captivate devices.

    What kernel does it use, does it have good clock speed i need to clock my cpu at 1.3 GHz so my gpu bus speed will maintain 200+ MHz ( for gaming)

    PS I'm still new on flashing and oc so pls help me if i'm wrong

    There are many free servers are faster and do not limit you.

    bu romun v3 ü ilk çıktığında yükledim çok güzledi severek kullandım. ancak Night sürümleri çok eskidiği için romu değiştirmek zorunda kalmıştım.Umarım Bunda o sorun olmaz

      with wipe data you mean just data or even cache and dalvik?
      don't I need to format system?
      anyway, to flash the rom the second time, after the first flash I have to select "reboot recovery" or I flash it right after the first flash?

    Can someone help me, i cant get live wallpaper working. I tried adding it to system/app and now you can set live wallpaper from menu but when you press it it says live wallpaper picker has stopped. Please help me, thanks

      Open terminal emulator, type this 2 lines and reboot.

      I have galaxy s i9000 and on previous version of this rom it was running better and it also had more points in antutu (over 5000). Now I can overclock CPU to 1400 MHz, but it never reaches even 4500points.

    Live Wallpaper missing in rom you can't use live wallpaper!!!and please put OGBatteryMod in this great rom i like this rom which have devil kernel i like it!!!! ;)

    Add OGBatteryMod or make flashable zip with this function where i can change icon battery with more style

    Hey, burakgon, please fix that issue with live wallpaper, and bugs seen above. I used your previous versions and they were all good. Please fix these bugs and post an updated version of the rom, so i can flash it. I want this rom because from what i saw yet, its the fastest rom out there, but still has some bugs . :(

      There is no any single bug. People has no lockscreen = people not flashing gapps. Live wallpapers are waste of performance. So we won't include it.

      You can download Touchwiz theme for Trebuchet launcher from Google Play. That's what I use and it's work fine.

      You should activate agps and epo under settings->gps menu.First lock it will be slow but then it takes only seconds.

    A really great rom, undisputedly but either I could not set it up right or there are still a few minor tweaks to be done.
    I am using V4.0 on my galaxy s I9000.
    1) V4 can not lock on to the GPS as V3 could. I miss this :(
    2) I think V3 was smoother. Even I use the same CPU clock speed, after oppening a few apps V4 starts slowing down so I clean up running apps then it's good again.
    3) Sometimes phone becomes unresponsive in V4 which I never observed in V3 so I simply wait or reboot at worst case.
    4) The launcher of V3 was really cool and smooth, I don't like trebuchet in V4. I think it is not so userfriendly.
    5) The wi-fi performance of V4 is better than V3, I give it that.
    6) In V3 when I move the phone close to my ear while ringing, it could answer the phone automatically which was really cool. I couldn't find this option in V4.

    Overall: V4 is really good and it can easily be understood that there is great effort in it but these little glitches I mentioned above forces me to roll back to V3 until V5 or V4.1 :(

      Same here :) Restored to V3 but I could not risk to lose my apps so I did not wipe anything... as a result it is now slower than it should be but anyway still as fast as V4 and GPS is locking faster :)

      if you are using semaphore kernel on gamerzrom v4; you wont be able to play videos. Use the stock kernel.

      Why is this so? I used CWM and revert to gamerzrom v3, then update the latest archived flash player (69) and it works.

      Will flashing an older semaphore kernel on v4 works? Or there are some flash player incompability issues with semaphore kernels and gamerzrom v4?

    Stock kernel is which one? Devil kernel drains my battery too fast. Can u recommend a kernel.

    I think the flash player work when I have Gamerzrom v3 with the original semaphore kernel. Will downgrading to older semaphore kernel works? Using 3.0.0 now

      I agree. Some how V4.0 seems to be buggy and laggy.

      It is a pity that I have to revert back to V3.0. Maybe the V5 will come with Android JB 4.3?

    varias semanas de pruebas con la rom v4,, yo tengo un poroblema en la alarma que no funciona,, la rom v4 esta mas lenta que la v3,, y por el momento no veo otros problemas,, esperando la v5?? osino regreso a la v3 que era mucho mas rapida y con menos prblemas,,, un saludo desde españa

    I hope that there will be an update for v4 soon, reverting back to v3 fot the moment. For the second time in less then a week the rom crashed when I tried to exit a game and data got corrupted when restarting the phone leaving only one option: make a full wipe of the rom and install everything again, luckely I use titanium backup for making regular back ups of my data and apps.

    I wish to thank you for this great effort. I like it very much, especially the screen lock zoom effect and the camera being easily accesible. Overall it shows marvelous effort and attention to details. And I also like the sounds; however it is kind of ‘muffled'!
    it is also very fast, faster than the original firmware that came with the device.

    Seriously, when I waited after 1min, press download via DepositDownloader when open, " Network Error" when my computer have a speed of 60Mbp/s. and via browser it said" Access Denied" and brought me back to previous page.?????? Mirrior Link please. (Sorry for bad english)

    I'm using this rom and loving it. But second time i have a problem. Phone shuts down then i'm trying to open it. Samsung galaxy s screen passes and colorful X animation comes but the phone never opens. İt happened 3 weeks ago and i wiped data/factory reset but i didn't have backups so i lost everything. This night it happened again. Any solutions without loosing data?

    flashing with odin or just update zip from cwm?

      Yes it does work but has a few problems. XDA says that he is working on a new base and new 4.3 rom. Not sure when that will be out though. If you have root, you could try tiger jelly bean just search for it on XDA under the galaxy i9000. Remember that these roms only work if your phone is rooted. If you don't have root there is info there to help you as well. Good luck.

    It's a awesome ROM I usually change my ROM you can say everyday like c-rom ,CM,mokees, omni,,jelly bean etc. But GamertzRom is rock.First I install v3 as I found from users that it is more stable than V4.But as you know we can't keep our mind far behind,I again flashed it with v4.Firstly, I found WiFi is very slow,but later it change my SGS with charm ...I am very happy now.One issue it's WiFi signal not so good as it should be.Those who are facing WiFi and network problem can be fixed by changing their modem,mine is JVU.Thank you sir.I am from India.
